Happy place ✨☕️ I am trying to return to th Happy place ✨☕️

I am trying to return to the practice of writing my affirmations 25 times every morning. There is a lot of research that indicates your brain will believe anything when it’s told the same thing repeatedly. At one point I struggled with the “manifesting” feel of this. But my coach helped me see it as a prayer. Every time I write it, I say “Lord, if it’s your will, let it be so.” ❤️

I’m working on a new affirmation today. I’m in a new season, and I need a fresh perspective.

Do you have an affirmation or prayer that you repeat regularly? 🙏🏻

I went through some old pictures today after lunch I went through some old pictures today after lunch with my dad. The longer I went through them, the more I was overwhelmingly thankful for the childhood I had. So much joy and fun, so many adventures and memories. My dad didn’t grow up with his father around often, yet he went on to be the best daddy in the whole world. He gave us everything: stability, provision, common sense, work ethic, and most importantly, Jesus.

These two photos are my favorites. One of him and his Riley girls. And one I had never seen before. It was a roll of film that my mom let me take pictures on when I was probably 7. He’s wearing a kimono because he would travel the world for work and bring us back special treasures. We had kimonos too. I love seeing him through my little 7 year old eyes.

I love you Daddy. You amaze me with your never ending pursuit of sanctification and love for your family. Happy Father’s Day ❤️
It’s been a minute. Since I’ve grabbed this bo It’s been a minute. Since I’ve grabbed this book and sat with it, seeing what God wanted to reveal me through His gift. I am in devotionals, sermons, worship music, and prayer frequently, but in a season of chaos, just sitting in peace with God’s holy word has been difficult. Today was the day to renew.

God wastes nothing and uses everything. It’s hard to see sometimes in the moment, or even years later, but He’s faithful to keep His promises. He promises to show up, and often it’s through His word.

When I first started reading the word, I would play Bible roulette. Flip through and open up to a random passage and see what God wanted to teach me. I grew and learned about in depth Bible study. Verse by verse, cross referencing and commentaries. I am a nerd at heart, and I loved learning about homiletics and will do it for fun to this day. But today, I returned to Bible roulette. And God in His faithfulness returned me to a scripture from a sermon I heard this weekend. Leviticus 16. It talks about the tradition and practice of atonement for the Israelites. I enjoyed the sermon and wondered what else God wanted me to see. I flipped around again until I came to Ephesians 1. I have the most beautiful Illuminated Bible, and the art for this page says “In Him we have redemption through His blood.” That stopped me and I was able to reread chapter 1. Although I have read it many times, the word is living and active. I see new things every time, depending on what I have lived since the last time I read this, and what God wants my heart to know. A reminder of the truth that God chose me, adopted me, gifted me, it even says He lavishes me with grace, forgiveness, and redemption. And He will do this for you too. While none of these are new, it’s easy to forget in the trials and sorrows of life. And I needed the reminder.

If it’s been a minute since you’ve just sat with God and His word, I encourage you to try it. He will show up. He’s already with you now.

If you don’t know Him, but something about this pulled on your heart, please message me. I’d love to hear your story and tell you about a Father that will show up for you every time. ❤️
